Is wrapping your car for money worth it?

The "get paid to wrap your car" offers that arrive by text and email are almost all scams built around a fake check. Real advertising wraps exist for fleets and businesses, not for private drivers recruited online. We install commercial wraps for companies on their own vehicles.

The scam

You are offered hundreds a week to drive with a brand on your car. A check arrives for more than promised; you are told to deposit it and wire the difference to the "installer". The check bounces days later and the wire is gone. There is no wrap, no brand, no installer.

How real advertising wraps work

Companies wrap their own vehicles, or fleets they lease, through a shop like ours. Drivers are employees or contractors of that company. Nobody recruits strangers online and pays them to carry ads.

What we do

Commercial wraps and partial wraps for businesses on their own vans, trucks and cars: design files, printed and laminated film, installed panel by panel with the trim off. Color-change wraps for private owners, paid for by the owner.

If you already received the check

Do not deposit it. Report it to the bank and to the FTC. No legitimate offer requires you to send money to anyone.

Is chrome delete worth the cost?
For the visual change per dollar, it is one of the best things you can do to a car. Satin black over the window trim, handles and badges modernizes almost any car in a morning, it is reversible, and it costs a fraction of a full wrap. Full answer →
How hard is it to chrome delete a car?
Harder than it looks. Window trim has compound curves, tight radii and exposed edges, and the film has to be stretched, post-heated and trimmed without a blade ever touching paint or glass. It is fine work that separates experienced installers from everyone else. Full answer →
Is it worth wrapping a car with bad paint?
It depends what "bad" means. Faded, swirled or scratched clear coat: yes, prep it and wrap it. Peeling, flaking or bubbling clear coat: no, the wrap will not stick to it and will take it off on removal. Vinyl needs sound paint under it. Full answer →
Can a vinyl wrapped car go through a carwash?
Touchless, yes. Brush and cloth washes, no: they catch edges, lift seams and dull the finish, especially on matte. Hand washing with pH-neutral soap is best, and a pressure washer is fine at a foot or more, away from edges. Full answer →
