Car Wraps for Miami Drivers

Elite Premium Detailing is not in Miami. The shop is in Davie — 4651 SW 51st St, Unit 812, next to the Hard Rock Hotel — roughly thirty minutes north of the city up Florida's Turnpike. We put that in the first line on purpose, because a lot of car wrap searches in Miami end at whichever booth is closest, and a wrap is one of the few jobs where closest is almost never the same as best.

What you get for crossing the county line is a climate-controlled shop instead of an open bay, and a schedule that is capped at thirty to forty vehicles a month on purpose. Dust and humidity are what put bubbles under film and lift edges at the bumper six months later, and neither one gets into our bay. Fewer cars on the floor means your car gets the hours it actually needs: trim off, panel by panel, edges wrapped under instead of trimmed at the surface. We serve Miami. We are not in Miami — and that is the argument.

There is no Elite address in Miami-Dade and we are not going to invent one. One shop, one crew, one bay in Davie since before most wrap shops in this market existed. Miami is a service area, and a big part of our work already comes from it.

The reason Miami drivers make the drive is what the drive buys:

A climate-controlled shop.

The entire bay is climate controlled — not a garage with the door rolled up. Airborne dust and humidity are the two things that ruin an install, and they are exactly what an open bay in August cannot keep out.

Thirty to forty vehicles a month, capped on purpose.

A wrap done properly is measured in days of disassembly, prep and post-heating. Shops that push volume make that time back somewhere, and it is always on your car.

The trim actually comes off.

Handles, badges and trim are removed where the design calls for it, so film wraps under the edge instead of stopping at it. That single decision is most of the difference between a wrap that still looks right in year three and one you notice every time you walk up to the car.

Getting here from Miami

The shop sits about five minutes off I-595 in Davie, next to the Hard Rock Hotel — a landmark you can see from the highway, which makes it hard to miss on a first visit.

From Brickell, Wynwood, Coral Gables or Miami Beach:

I-95 north, then west on I-595. Roughly half an hour outside of rush hour.

From Kendall, Doral or the west side of the county:

the Palmetto (826) to Florida's Turnpike, north toward Davie.

From anywhere on the Turnpike corridor:

straight north on the Turnpike to the Davie exits, then a few minutes east.

We are open Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Most Miami clients drop the car in the morning, and we send updates at each stage while it is here instead of one phone call the day it is done. Loaner Car Assistance — how you get home after drop-off

This is the part that decides it for most Miami drivers. You are not stranded in Broward waiting on a wrap.

We partner with an Enterprise branch about a mile from the shop. When you drop the car off, we book the rental at our partner rate — around $35 a day — and drive you over there ourselves. When your car is ready, you leave the rental at Enterprise and they bring you back to us. No extra charge for either leg of that.

Two things worth being straight about: the rental itself is your cost, not ours, and this is not a free courtesy car. What it is, is a way to hand us your car for the days a proper install takes without losing a day of your own to the Turnpike.

What Miami actually does to a wrap

Film manufacturers do not publish one number for a car. They publish durability by panel orientation, because the roof and the hood take a completely different beating than the doors.

Avery Dennison SW900:

its data sheet rates gloss and matte colors at 10 years on vertical panels and 2 years on horizontal ones in Zone 1 — the zone Florida falls into on Avery's own map. Black and white run 12 and 3; metallics and pearlescents 5 and 2; textured and color-flow films less.

3M Wrap Film Series 2080:

3M's bulletin lists an expected performance life of 8 years for film on a flat vertical surface, measured unwarranted under northern European conditions — which tells you how much of that number South Florida sun is going to spend for you.

Read it the way we do: the sides of your car are not the problem. The roof, the hood and the trunk lid are the panels that age first, and covered parking is worth more to a wrap in Miami than any product you can buy. It also changes what we recommend — some finishes hold up better than others on horizontals, and we will tell you which at the inspection instead of after.

The last one is mechanical, not chemical: parking garage columns, valet stands and tight street parking are hard on edges and bumper corners. That is a paint protection film conversation, not a vinyl one — PPF goes on the impact areas and can sit under or over the wrap depending on the build.

What Miami drivers ask us to wrap

From one panel to the whole car, in a bay that is set up for either.

Full color change wrap.

Every painted panel, in a finish the factory never offered. Your original paint stays sealed underneath the entire time, and it comes back off when you want the next look — which is what a respray can never give you.

Satin and matte black.

The two finishes that change a car the most. Satin holds a soft sheen; matte kills reflection completely. They photograph almost identically on a phone and look nothing alike in daylight, which is why we put real film against your paint before you commit.

Chrome delete.

Window surrounds, grille accents and badges taken to gloss or satin black. It is the cheapest change that gives a car a cleaner, more modern look a car, it is fully reversible, and it is one of the most requested jobs we do for Miami.

Roof, hood, mirrors and accents.

Contrast without a full-wrap budget, on their own or alongside the rest of the car.

Color-flip and textured films.

Films that shift color with the angle, plus carbon fiber, brushed metal and forged textures.

Vehicle wraps for business.

The finish on your car is only as good as the roll it came off, so we stock a short list and stay on it: 3M, Avery Dennison, Inozetek, Hexis and Evolve. No unbranded rolls, ever. Our crew is certified with Evolve Films and works with these same lines every day.

3M Wrap Film Series 2080 — cast vinyl with Controltac and Comply air-release adhesive, about 3.5 mil of film, removable with heat within the warranty period. 126 colors in our catalog.

Avery Dennison SW900 Supreme Wrapping Film — cast, 3.2 to 4.7 mil face with the Easy Apply RS adhesive built for repositioning and clean removal. 150 colors in our catalog.

Inozetek — cast super gloss and frozen finishes with a thicker face than most wrap vinyl, which is where that deep, paint-like gloss comes from. 105 colors in our catalog.

Evolve — 59 colors, and the line our crew is certified on.

That is 440 real color codes across the four lines we catalog by color. Pick from a screen and you are guessing — metallic flake barely registers on a phone.
