Every package includes prep wash, decontamination and your first maintenance wash.
From Hollywood Boulevard to keys back
Two to three days for a front end, about a week for a full body, with the car indoors the whole time.
- Free inspection. Paint checked under lights with you there. Existing 95 chips and any salt etching get named, and you leave with a written price.
- Salt and iron off first. Iron remover, tar remover and clay before any film. A coastal car carries more bonded contamination than an inland one, and whatever is sealed under urethane stays there.
- Hand installation, edges wrapped. Each piece cut for your car, laid wet, squeegeed and heat-set, with the edge wrapped around the panel so there is no exposed line to catch dirt.
- Cure, inspect, register. Film sets indoors, gets a final pass under light, and the install is logged with the manufacturer and reported to CARFAX against your VIN.
The warranty on a Hollywood install
Urban carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing, cracking and peeling. Ceramic Pro PPF carries a lifetime warranty on the original factory paint. Both are registered by us as the certified installer and reported to CARFAX, so the film, the date and the installer are on the vehicle history for the next owner to see.
The condition is an annual inspection: bring the car back once a year, we check edges and panels and update the record. Staining left to bake on is an exclusion, which is one reason the Sport coating on the whole car comes with Full Front. The documents themselves are on our warranty page.
The 95 corridor and the beach: what Hollywood does to paint
The stretch of I-95 through Hollywood is the worst rock-chip road on the east side of Broward, and it has been for years, because construction lanes shed loose stone and the trucks in the lane ahead of you deliver it at speed. That is where the chips on a Hollywood bumper come from. The beach adds the second half: sand blown onto A1A and Federal Highway, and salt air that sits on the car whether it moves or not and opens the edges of every chip.
Film answers both. A rock that would chip clear coat marks the urethane instead and heals in the sun, and the chip that would have started rusting at the edge in salt air never reaches the paint.
