Why it changes so much
Chrome trim is what makes a car look like it came from a rental lot. Blacking it out sharpens every line and makes the paint color read cleaner. On white, grey and black cars the difference is startling; on Teslas, BMWs and Mercedes it is the most requested first mod.

Window trim, door handles, badges, mirror caps, grille surrounds, exhaust tips where they are trim rather than pipe. Satin or gloss black cast vinyl from 3M or Avery.

Priced by the pieces included; a morning of work; five to seven years of life with hand or touchless washing. Reversible without affecting the chrome underneath.
