What gets covered
- Window trim on all four doors, the hardest part because of the tight curves.
- Door handles.
- Side repeater camera housings.
- Optional: mirror caps, front and rear badges, the T on the trunk.
Film
Satin black or gloss black cast vinyl from 3M or Avery. Satin is the classic look and hides fingerprints on handles better. Both are removable without affecting the chrome underneath.
Time, price, life
Most of a morning. Priced by the parts included; a full delete with mirror caps and badges costs more than trim and handles alone. Expect the same five to seven years as any wrap, with hand or touchless washing.
Do it with
Model 3 front bumpers chip early. Full Front PPF is $1,999 on a Model 3 and includes a $549 Ceramic Pro coating; the chrome delete is a natural add-on while the car is in.
