The routine
- Rinse the whole car to remove loose grit.
- Two buckets: one soap, one rinse, with grit guards. pH-neutral soap.
- Wash top-down with a clean mitt, rinsing the mitt in the second bucket between panels.
- Rinse. Dry with a plush towel or a blower. Do not dry-wipe a dusty car.
What to avoid
- Brush or cloth automatic washes. Touchless is fine.
- Pressure washer closer than 12 inches, or aimed along an edge.
- Compounds, polishes, cleaner waxes, clay with pressure. The topcoat self-heals light marks but abrasives scuff it.
- Letting bugs, bird droppings or sap sit for days. Film resists them better than paint, but nothing likes acid in the sun.
Protection on top
A ceramic coating over the film blocks UV and makes dirt slide off. We include a $549 Ceramic Pro coating with every Full Front and Full Body install. Coated film needs a rinse and a dry most of the time.
Once a year
A maintenance detail: decontamination, inspection of every edge, coating top-up. It keeps the film clear and catches anything early.
