The timeline
- Inspection: 15 minutes. What the car needs and what it can take.
- Exterior: 2 to 3 hours. Pre-rinse, foam, iron and tar removal, clay, two-bucket wash, dry, wheels and tires.
- Interior: 2 to 4 hours. Vacuum, steam, leather cleaned and conditioned, plastics, vents, glass inside, carpets if needed.
- Protection: 1 hour plus cure. Sealant or coating top-up on paint, glass and wheels.
What changes the time
Pet hair, sand from the beach, a coating that needs a maintenance top-up, or paint that has never been decontaminated. An SUV that has hauled kids for a year is a longer day than a coupe.
Drop-off
Plan to leave the car for the day. It stays inside our bay from drop-off to pick-up, and we call when it is ready.
