The first week
- Windows up for 3–5 days. Film is installed with a slip solution and bonds as it dries. Rolling a window down before that can catch the edge on the seal and lift it.
- Haze and small water pockets are normal. The moisture under the film evaporates through it over a week or two, faster in the sun. Do not press on them.
- Do not clean the inside of the glass yet. Give it a week.
After that, for the life of the film
- Clean with an ammonia-free glass cleaner and a soft microfiber. Ammonia attacks the film.
- No razor blades, scouring pads or paper towels on the inside of the glass.
- Watch seat belts and cargo on the rear glass.
- Exterior washing is unaffected; the film is on the inside.
If something looks wrong
A bubble that has not cleared after two weeks, a lifted edge, or a line of contamination under the film: bring it back. Installation issues show up early and are covered. Bring the car by rather than trying to fix it; pressing on a bubble tears the film.
