Professional versus consumer
Professional-only coatings are applied by trained installers on corrected paint and come with a manufacturer warranty. Consumer coatings sold in bottles are thinner, last a fraction of the time and carry no warranty. Other shops will quote Gtechniq, Opti-Coat or CarPro; ask them the same three questions we answer below.
Why we chose Ceramic Pro
- A range, not one product. Sport, Bronze, Silver, Gold, ION and Ultimate ION, so a lease and a collector car do not get the same package.
- Warranties from the manufacturer. 2-year on Bronze, 5-year on Silver, 7-year on ION, lifetime on Gold and Ultimate ION, registered with Ceramic Pro, not just promised by a shop.
- One system. Ceramic Pro PPF is designed to take the same coating, which is why we include a $549 coating with every Full Front and Full Body film install.
- Elite Dealer program. Training, products and registration are current. The warranty means something in year six.
What matters more than the brand
Whether the paint was corrected first. Whether it cured in a bay or a parking lot. Whether the shop will be there to honor the warranty. Ask those three questions before you ask about the logo.
