How it comes off
The panel is warmed until the film is pliable, a corner is lifted with a plastic tool, and the film is pulled slowly at a low angle while it stays warm. Adhesive residue, if any, wipes off with a solvent made for paint. A full front takes a couple of hours; a full body most of a day.
What is under it
Factory paint exactly as it was the day the film went on. No chips, no swirls, full gloss. Customers are regularly surprised at how much better the filmed panels look than the rest of the car.
When it is not easy
- Film far past its warranty term that has gone brittle.
- Cheap film with adhesive that was never designed to release.
- Resprayed panels, where the paint can lift with the film.
Then what
Most removals we do are followed by new film the same visit: decontamination, inspection, and a fresh Full Front or Full Body with the Ceramic Pro coating included. The car leaves protected again.
